The View from Now is a collection of essays deliberately from the perspective of contemporary human seniority. Seniority is sometimes hard to define, but if you are over 65 years of age, you will know you've got it, because of the way others act toward and around you. Except for my golf knee and ticker, I like seniority very much.
I have come to the conclusion that my political and social perspectives have changed some over the past months, probably years, and that I should indulge whatever they are openly. So, to hell with my former obsession over the US military industrial complex, and to the very point of the present chaos: time is of the essence.
The mechanics of ViewFromNow are the same as in preceding website:Iron Mountain. To select essays to read, click on the "Directory" button (above) and note the category and date of one you might want to read, then click the corresponding category name and scroll (if necessary) to the essay. If you wish to send a comment to me, click on my "JB" initials (at the end of every essay). I will respond.

If you are senior or can see that you will be sooner or later, check this website out. I found this questionnaire not quite by chance recently and was definitely bemused. Play with it, but eventually tell it the truth.
